Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Ford Escape- Video
Today on this 2016 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FullBack 3-Bike Rack, part number Y02633. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have 2 ZipStrips up at the top here and 1 off to the side, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. It also has an integrated cable lock here at the end. You'll wrap it around the bike in the front and attach it to this point here, and that's for a little bit of added security. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Saris Bones Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, we're doing a test fit of the Saris Bones trunk mount 3-bike rack. That part number is S8801. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. We have three straps altogether holding our bike into place, two on our frame here and one as our anti-sway strap. We're going to start by releasing our two frame straps first. more

Today in this 2016 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Yakima HalfBack 2 Bike Rack, part number Y02636. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack we're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have two zip strips up at the top here, and then one off to the side, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack where the bike's in front of it. Let's go and take it off and set it aside. To do that there's two tabs on either side of the zip strip, you just push them in at the same time and lift them up and out. Go ahead and put them back in place for now. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima half back 3 trunk mount bike rack. That part number is Y02635. Now we already have our bike secured in place. We're first going to show you how we do that. We have 2 cradles with 3 straps or zip strips as Yakima calls them. We're going to have the two on the top here and one as our anti-sway in the back. We can remove our bike and set it off to the side. With the bike removed, I always suggest that you replace your zip strips so you don't lose or damage them. Now we can take a few measurements. more

Now, we already have our bike secured down; first going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over some features. We have 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, also known as 'zip-strips;' we're going to start by removing those. We have the last one here as our anti-sway. We can remove our bike, set it off to the side, and then, with our bike out of the way, I always suggest that you replace your zip strips so you don't lose or damage them. With those re-attached, we'll start off with some measurements here. First is going to be overall what we're adding to our vehicle with our arms hanging out. more

Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the Yakima Quickback II trunk mounted carrier, part number Y02621. To begin our test fit well set the carrier onto the vehicle just below the license plate. Well put the top hook to the top part of the cargo door, the side hooks to the side part of the cargo door just below the taillights and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the cargo door. You may have to open your cargo door to get the bottom hooks in. Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. We can then secure the excess slack with the included tie down points. more

Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition two bike carrier trunk mount, part number HRF6-2. To begin our test fit well set the carrier onto the vehicle using the top set of levers on the left and right hand side of the carrier we will use to adjust the carrier to the vehicle. Well take the top straps, hook them to the top part of the cargo door, the side straps to the side part of the cargo door just below the taillights and the bottom straps to the bottom part of the cargo door. Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. Now tha the carrier is secured to the vehicle were ready to load our bike. Well use the second set of levers on the left and right hand side of the carrier to swing out the cradle arms. more

Hollywood Racks Baja 2 Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Baja two bike carrier trunk mount, part number HRB2. To begin our test fit well set the carrier onto the vehicle and use the levers on the left and right side of the carrier to adjust the arms. The cradle arms will need to be level or slightly angled up. Once weve established this position well go ahead and lock the arms in place. Well put the top straps to the top part of the cargo door and the bottom straps to the bottom part of the cargo door. Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. more
